ABOUT
Chanell Mendez, MSN, APRN, PMHNP - BC
Author Chanell Mendez, MSN, APRN, PMHNP - BC hails from a small town just outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has garnered much acclaim from her small business, Little Minds Resources, helping families and communities with mental health resources. Chanell is a current board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who started her work in the pediatric inpatient unit at The University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital.
When she is not writing in her favorite coffee shops, Chanell spends most of her time in her garden, playing with her two dogs, traveling Michigan with her younger daughters and husband, or taking bike rides on local trails. A fitness fanatic, she gains happiness watching Western Michigan Bronco football with her family on Sunday afternoons.
I currently have written one children book for sale on Amazon teaching children ages 6 to 12 coping skills and what mental health can be seen as "a hidden disease". I currently work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in community mental health serving pediatrics through older adult clients.

"I was able to connect with the story. There were so many different conversations that were started because of this book and the free resources. I could explain mental illness to my kids in a different way. This is your story for anyone looking for a cute book about mental health and emotions!"

"A children’s book on a tough/stigmatized subject that affects almost every family in some way, shape, or form. Amazing work!"
